Experience your future home in VR
Flat drawings can only go so far. VR lets us step into your design at full scale and feel what it’s like to actually live there.Even if you’re thousands of kilometers away, you can watch that tour, at your own leisure, and get a clear sense of the layout and flow long before construction begins.
WHY USE 3D DESIGN?
YOU SEE YOUR FUTURE HOME CLEARLY.
Instead of trying to imagine from 2D drawings, you walk through realistic 3D views and understand exactly how the spaces feel.YOU CATCH PROBLEMS EARLY, NOT DURING CONSTRUCTION.
Awkward layouts, views, circulation, and lighting issues can be fixed on screen, instead of becoming expensive changes on site.YOU MAKE DECISIONS WITH CONFIDENCE FROM ABROAD.
3D and VR walkthroughs make it much easier for you, your builder, and your designer to stay on the same page across time zones.YOU CAN TEST “VACATION NOW, HOME LATER” IDEAS.
We can explore versions for Airbnb use, future full‑time living, or both, and you can see how each option will actually work.YOU SAVE TIME AND MONEY.
Changing materials, layouts, or details in 3D is fast and affordable compared to altering concrete, plumbing, or structure after it’s built.
how does it work? (q & a)
Q: WHAT'S THE FIRST STEP IF I'M INTERESTED?
A: We start with a call where you tell me about your property, how you want to live (or rent), and share any sketches, photos, or inspiration you already have. I’ll ask a few focused questions about your timeline, budget range, and intention for your new home.Q: HOW DO YOU TURN MY IDEAS INTO A DESIGN?
A: I build a detailed 3D model of your future home based on your brief, site, and priorities. Instead of flat plans, you get to see actual spaces: room layouts, circulation, views, and how the house sits on your lot.Q: HOW DO DESIGN REVIEWS WORK IF I'M IN THE AREA?
A: If you’re here, we can review your design together in person or via Zoom. I’ll walk you through the 3D model on screen, and you can also put on a VR headset and explore the house at full scale — seeing how large the rooms feel, how you move through the spaces, and what you see from each window, terrace, and from around the pool.Q: HOW DO DESIGN REVIEWS WORK FROM ABROAD?
A: If you’re not in Costa Rica, we review everything over Zoom. I share my screen and walk you through the 3D model live so you can ask questions and make decisions as we go. I can also record a separate VR walkthrough of me moving through the house in headset and send you the video, so you can replay it, pause, and review every detail on your own time.Q: CAN WE MAKE CHANGES AS WE GO?
A: Yes. We move through the design in rounds, using your feedback to adjust layouts, openings, views, storage, and details until it feels right for how you’ll actually use the home —whether that’s full time living, vacation stays, Airbnb hosting, or a mix.Q: WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPROVE THE DESIGN?
A: Once you sign off on the 3D design, I share it with Coastal Constructions, a trusted local builder. They use it to develop the construction drawings, permitting documents, and cost information, so your build team and design are aligned from the beginning.

About me
I’m Dave Jurzynek, a 3D home designer, specializing in custom homes and remodels based on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast for people relocating or investing from abroad.I bring together over fifteen years of design and drafting experience with more than ten years of 3D modeling, so every project starts as a clear, detailed digital home you can walk through before you build.Because I have lived in this climate year‑round, I understand what actually works here over time—how sun, rain, wind, salt air, and jungle growth affect a house, and how good design can make your home comfortable, durable, and low‑stress. My role is to translate your ideas, Pinterest boards, and sketches into a realistic 3D design that fits this environment and your future plans, whether that’s a full‑time residence, an Airbnb‑ready vacation home, or both.I serve clients remodeling and building custom homes throughout Costa Rica's Caribbean coast — from Cahuita and Puerto Viejo down through Cocles, Playa Chiquita, and Punta Uva, all the way to Manzanillo.

AMERICAN COUPLE, PRIMARY RESIDENCE WITH VOLUNTEER QUARTERS AND DOG RESCUE IN PUERTO VIEJO:
"We had the utmost pleasure of working with Dave Jurzynek with the design of our home in Playa Negra, Costa Rica. Designing a beautiful, functional home, yet staying within the budget was key to us and Dave made the process so smooth! We met for 5 sessions, and each session was very productive. He listened to us and presented creative designs that we would have never developed if we had not worked with Dave. Hiring a designer like Dave is well worth the money. We are so happy with the design of our home. In addition to designing our home, Dave also designed an Animal Rescue Shelter for us. Dave's creativity, along with his professionalism and top-tier skills are amazing! I highly recommend working with him for your design needs...he is the BEST."

AMERICAN FAMILY, VACATION HOME IN PLAYA CHIQUITA:
"We had an excellent experience working with Dave on the design of our home in Costa Rica. From the very beginning, he listened carefully to our ideas and translated them into a thoughtful, beautiful, and highly functional design that fits both the climate and the landscape perfectly. Everyone we show the design to is impressed and thinks it's going to look amazing, and on one visit, we even had the opportunity to put on VR goggles and take a virtual walk through of our future home. The whole process took a few months of communication and Zoom meetings, tweaking things here and there as he worked with us and our builder. Communication was clear and consistent, and we always felt supported and informed. We're really happy with the final result and would highly recommend Dave to anyone looking to build a home in the Puerto Viejo area."

CANADIAN COUPLE, CASITA IN CAHUITA:
"Wow! I've never had an experience in designing our dream casita like we did with Dave. Dave was quick, responsive, professional and great at what he does. He helped us to design our dream casita for our property on the beaches of Cahuita. He was able to clearly articulate my vision and bring to life, while also being able to integrate technical considerations for things we frankly didn't consider. The very best part of the experience was doing a virtual reality walk-through of our design in the jungles of Costa Rica to actually experience what living in the house would be like! Truly a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend Dave for bringing your creative vision for your dream home to life!"

He was able to come up with an initial design based on our ideas that was very close to what we wanted, which saves a lot of time. I would strongly suggest using Dave for your design needs, you will not regret it. Thank you again Dave for your help in designing our dream vacation home!!"
